First, I would like to say I am sorry for not keeping up with my blog. Life got really busy and with starting a new job in counseling, Grad School, and staying busy with lots of different things. I lost interest in writing and did not make time for it.
This past week I had the opportunity to go on a cruise to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel, with some of the most amazing women. I learned to step out of my comfort zone and really reflect on just being “still” and if you all know me; that is hard for me to do.
I swam in the Caribbean, rode a Segway in Grand Cayman, and swam with dolphins in Cozumel. I got to hang out with Sue Duffield and Susie Shellenberger, make a huge ice cream cone, fall asleep on the deck watching a movie, get hit in the head with a basketball, sing, laugh, and cry with complete strangers that by the end of the week they were like family.
This week I had the chance to reflect and really observe Gods calling on my life. Life has had lots of ups and downs for me and I’m sure you’ve had them as well. No matter what we go through or what we face on a day to day situation “God is still there.”
The most amazing thing this week for me was swimming with the most amazing animal. Now, don’t get me wrong, lots of great things happened, but when I was swimming with the dolphins I couldn’t help but to feel “FREE” I mean isn’t that what we want in life is to be free from captivity, from trials and tribulations.
I swam out to the middle of the water and these two gorgeous dolphins came behind me and pushed me to the top of the water. It was almost like I was flying and in that brief moment I felt as if I had no care in the world, but that I was on top of the world. When I came down and made a huge splash, I realized that I was back in reality. I realized that we can’t always be on top of the world, that we must go through valleys to get to where God wants us to be.
What are you facing? What trials are before you? Are you taking time to really get to know yourself, or are you always so busy that you cannot hear the voice of God. You see, my life before the cruise was always so busy, and I could never understand what God wanted me to do. Are you running from circumstances, or are you willing to face the “GIANTS”. Are you willing to take a risk and risk all you have for Jesus, or are you going to put him in a box.
Are you going to be unstoppable or are you going to be stoppable? In reality, the choice is always yours. My prayer for you is that you find peace and understanding in your life. That no matter what you are going through, or went through;that you will allow GOD TO SET YOU FREE! Don’t be someone who says ” I don’t need help, but be unstoppable with the force of GOD on your side”.
