Miracles

The year was 1983. The month was August. It was the 15th day. This little girl came into the world that was not supposed to live. The doctors had no hope, but her family sure did. Her grandfather knew great things were in store and that Jesus would heal his granddaughter.

Doctors told this little girls mother that she should just let her be and put her in a mental institute and let her be. She wasn’t going to make it and if she did she would just be a vegetable. They said, she will not walk, talk, hear, see, speak. She will not survive.

God had other plans. This little girls grandfather was the very first person to hold her. While, he was holding her in his big arms, he prayed just a little prayer that God would heal his granddaughter if it was his will.

Days were clicking off. Doctors could not believe their eyes. The little girl was slowly getting better, day by day. They were in shock. This little girls family knew the ultimate healer.

If you believe anything is possible. They believed that God was the answer and healer. This little girl has had many challenges in her life. She’s had 15 surgeries, has 3 degrees, is working on her 4th. For all those people who said she wouldn’t make it, she is a living testimony. She is a miracle.

You see folks. That little girl is me. I was not supposed to live, walk, talk, see, they all lost all of their hope. Through faith my family prayed, and expected God to heal. Life is not always easy, it’s not always fun and games, life has some very challenging hurdles that you have to face. The choice is yours whether or not you are going to tuck tail and run, or you are going to face the giants.

I’ve run lots of times when the giants were so big that I didn’t think I could overcome them, but I’ve learned that running gets you know where because that giant is going to follow you everywhere if you don’t face it.

God has great things for your life if you allow him to help you. You see that little girl has run marathons, triathlon, played college basketball, ran college track, traveled the world, that little girl has a desire to serve others and even though I’m not that same little girl anymore, in my eyes I will always be a miracle, because God wanted me to live so that I can share what a blessing you can be if you allow yourself to be.

Never think that you are too much for God. With God all things are possible.

Blessed to be a Blessing,

J
