Accepting the Challenge!

In life we are all faced with different challenges, some may bigger than others. I am currently in my first semester of grad school. I am studying journalism, mass media, broadcasting/communications. I never thought I would be doing as well as what I am. I don’t think I have ever had a perfect score in an entire semester. I know for a fact I’ve never had the highest grade in a class until now.

You see a wise friend once told me ” J, when are you going to start doing for yourself instead of doing for others” All my life I have done for others and focused on what they needed. I never really took the time to focus on “Jamie”

Sometimes we can be so scared and let our fears take over what we are supposed to be doing. We can keep running, but never make any head way. I’m so blessed that I have planted myself in Roswell, America. I have the most amazing Christian friends a girl could ask for, I attend an awesome church, I love serving and my church family has become like family to me. I am so blessed!

There are times that we have to step out of our comfort zone and accept the challenge God has before us. You will always have people in your life telling you can’t do something, or why are you wasting your time. Then you will have sisters, family, friends, pastors, that will encourage you and tell you to DREAM BIG!! To set your expectations high and to never lose HOPE, but to have FAITH that ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH CHRIST!!

You see folks, my dream and passion is to write. To write Christian Books, to one day create a magazine for Christian Families, to travel that world sharing Gods word. I am willing to accept the challenge of people putting me down, telling me that I am not going to succeed, I accept the challenge. My eyes are focused on the prize!!  God will help me overcome any challenge that is before me. I will conquer anything and everything that comes my way.

You may have a challenge before you, it could be work related, church related, family related, you may have a dream within you that people are telling your that you should not do it. I’m going to challenge you to accept the challenge, move forward, and know that you can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens you. God doesn’t give us more than we can handle, he gives us what he knows we can handle.

Friends don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone and DREAM BIG!!!  When you are planted, everything just keeps falling into place. When you cont., to run from Gods calling, life gets messy and it’s hard to clean up.
